Market Your Work, January 2, 2009
When Jeffrey Marks wrote INTENT TO SELL in 2005, many of his ideas were brand new. Since then others have flocked to print, the web, and blogs with the same ideas, but Jeff was a ground breaker for the new novelist who needed help with the promotion of their book.
There are hundreds of people out there willing to take your money to promote your books, but INTENT TO SELL provides sound practical advice for both the novice and expert on where the few dollars available should best be invested to obtain the greatest results. There are no "pie in the sky" best sellers without some very hard work on the part of the author.
INTENT TO SELL is worth both a first, and later, a second read for anyone who is serious about making writing a career.
Nash Black, author of WRITING AS A SMALL BUSINESS now available on Amazon Kindle.

An interesting guide to help you sell your books!, October 3, 2008
In Intent to Sell, Jeffrey marks provides realistic advice for authors marketing their books. Authors new to book marketing and publicity will appreciate Intent to Sell as a guide to the process; however, veteran books marketers may only find a few helpful ideas they have yet to try.

Learning the publishing business, June 6, 2007
I just finished my second read of INTENT TO SELL. The first time through I was bowled over by the complete coverage of the subject, a little awed at the size of the task before me. Still, publication is looming and the book is very readable, so I read it again, this time taking notes on the specific advice provided. After twice through I'm starting to feel that it's possible, even for an amateur like me, to handle what is to come. From reading the book I know what I have to do, why it is necessary, and how it can be done well.
Jeffrey Marks did a great job of pulling together all the information a person needs to begin marketing a novel. Will I be able to do it effectively? Only time will tell, but if I don't, it won't be his fault. I got all the information I needed in his book, INTENT TO SELL.
