A MUST have book!!!!, January 26, 2006
This book and ANY Geneen Roth book is a life changer. I think her bold honesty about herself makes is ok to start being honest with yourself. She will change your life! I got more out of reading her books than therapy!! She has been there and done that. Have you ever gone through a drive in and ordered enough for an entire family but it was just for you. Then you say to the little speaker things like, 'and my kids want xxx' and you don't have kids!! When we eat in the middle of the night and no one sees it....we have ourselves convinced that doesn't count. The best of the book(s) is not just how she can bring the honesty out of the closet but she really address how emotions and eating go together and what we are really doing. Brilliant!! The work book she also has is really deep! If you want to deal with your emotional eating there is no other way to handle it than by Geneen Roth. She is the best! (and I am not related to her or a personal friend!) Like I said the key to her books is she has REALLY been there and done that and won the battle. I would give more than five stars if I could. It is a life changer!!!

Life saver 100% Recomended, June 26, 2006
You will hear from Geneen Roth herself her story and how to break free from emotional eating, im 27 years old and beign fat as a child I started to diet very early on in my life, as long as I can remember I have been on a diet, I started my first diet when i was 10 years old, so as you can imagine my life has been centered on loosing wheight and after loosing it gaining it again an so on for what it seem like an eternity.
After you here these cds that are narrated by Geneen herself you will finally understand something that will safe you life from this horrible obssesion with weight and food that makes you a slave to it, you will understand that what really matters is your relationship with food, you will understand the most important thing; that is not about food or wheight that the problem lies in your behavior arround it, in your attitude, in your way of thinking, once you change the way you think, you are on the wright path to being a healthy eater and free yourself from emotional eating, wich by consecuence will make you loose weight a live a healthier life, a life without worring all the time about food and weight wich if you are like me, could mean endless worries, endless days of feeling miserable, frustrated, and unhappy.
I havent lost much weight yet but you know what ? For the first time in my life I DONT CARE, because my relationship with food is changing, Im not bingeing as much as before and i know that im finally in the wright track, i feel that eventually a will get there, but what matters most to me know is to learn to do it in the wright way, you have to remember this is a process but i know NOW that the process has already begun and i feel great because finally, finally i have found a solution to my eating behavior, it will take time but im willing now to give me all the time i need! because im 100% sure that in time i will become a new healthy person!
And the big plus: you will feel like she is with you, everytime you listen to it you will feel like you have her support a at the tip of your fingers.
Do not hesitate to buy these CDs, and this advice comes from someone who has been on literally all kinds of diet; you name it I have done it, and from someone who now after this new perspective feels at peace!
