Product Description

A fully illustrated history of one of America’s finest and most innovative company.

From the Back Cover

A detailed and beautifully illustrated book that tells the full story of Remington Firearms model by model with more than 200 clear photographs. Separate sections cover all the company's output, including Pistols and Revolvers, Rifles and Carbines, and Shotguns. The range of firearms discussed spans everything from Rider's diminutive parlor pistol, which relied on a percussion cap to propel its diminutive .17 projectile, to the might .30 caliber Browning Machine Gun of 1917 which had a firepower capability of 600 rounds per minute.
Many interesting historical pictures and company posters complete the story.

2.0 out of 5 stars For the Novice, December 12, 2007
This review is from: The History of Remington Firearms: The History of One of the World's Most Famous Gun Makers (Hardcover)
This is a superficial look a Remington's products. It is fine for the novice but there is little new information for the more informed gun nut. Pictures are nice of the old factory and early development.
There are better sources.

I'm a rollingblock shooter and have been for the past 13 years. For me this is a good book and I have added it to my collection.

3.0 out of 5 stars Superficial history of The Remington fire arms Co.
I felt this was a very elementary, generalized coverage of this arms manufacturing Co That covered over a century of existance. Laked depth. The price was right though. Read more

My father use to work for Remington Arms as a project engineer back in the sixties. I was born in Ilion, New York. He really enjoys the book. I gave it to him for Christmas.
