About the Author

Nicole Noelle Sherman designs and creates jewelry in her studio in Free Union, VA. Her work grows out of a family tradition of art and architecture; her aesthetic exhibits complex patterns on a geometric structure with careful attention to detail. While not exclusively working with pearls, Nicole's jewelry centers on the freshwater pearl. Nicole's freshwater pearl jewelry reflects her love of organic materials and interesting form.

One look at the cover and a flip through the pages and i knew I had found the jewelry making book for me. I have been making jewelry for years and like to get new ideas. The designs in this book are beautiful! Even though the projects look easy enough for a beginner and don't require anything special, the ideas and final pieces of jewelry have me itching to get in my workroom, and i consider myself an advanced jewelry maker. No offense to the author or tool, but I thought a designer level book would offer lessons on the several other manual and I guess "Historically Corect", for lack of a better description, ways to knot pearls. The author did such a good job with every other aspect of this book. I would say, for a beginner, this is an awesome Pearl Book! Simply for its many beautiful design ideas to spark the imagination this is also a great book and well worth the investment.
