Even though the book is on the "flat" object any of the techniques can be used in doll making. Patti is known for her doll making, especially faces, and this book includes some flat dolls. The final chapter shares how the reader can make a friendship fan. This was inspired by Lisa See's book "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan". Patti also shares a friendship journal and many ways to create ways of keeping friendships alive. I am not interested in that, so I enlarged the Fairy on the cover 300% and made a 30X36" wall hanging. She is holding a butterfly, not a book. This book has my creative juices flowing and I am off doing a second one. Wow! What can I say? This book is filled with fantastic techniques, and with excellent photo's to help you do the projects.
