The Joy of Learning, December 8, 2003
I awaited the release of this book with great excitement - like a child coming down the stairs on Christmas morning. I knew I would discover a whole new world. Like looking through a kaleidoscope amazed at all the possibilities I would see. I also knew I would have the pleasure of learning from someone who was sincere in her desire to share this knowledge with all of us. Laura & Mary Kay bring such clarity to our desires to "know the future" that you feel as if they are sitting next to you, patiently answering your questions one by one, even before you can get them out of your mouth. The more they explain, the more you want to learn!Whether you start the book from the middle, end or beginning, each chapter is in itself a lesson that is carefully unfolded for you to apply to your everyday life. Who would not want to know why we are here? What peace that would bring to us all! Would you have a different perspective of that traumatic experience if you knew - I mean really knew - that some good would come out of it? Would you act differently if you knew that the job you just lost was a blessing and your whole life would be altered - for the BETTER? Laura & Mary Kay explain how to have a refreshed and new perspective on life and provide us with examples on how we can empower ourselves to "go with the flow" - let the Universal energies assist us on our journey or allow Divine Will to take us down the path that we are meant to follow. And, if you don't like where you are going, how to change your direction! I truly enjoyed Laura's personal stories that bring her lesson "home" and as I read them, I say to myself, "Yes, I've had that happen to me too. Now I see what she means. "I was such a novice on this subject; it was even more delightful to have the explanations of the topics as they came up. Want to know what a labyrinth is? I could hardly say it never mind explain it. But there it was, in a side bar box "Future Focus" explaining what it was and what it was used for. Alternately, there would be a similar box labeled "caution - Take Heed" to alert you to issues that you should be aware of before proceeding further on that topic. I found the greatest information in the "Divine Inspiration" boxes that clued you into deeper meanings of such things as normal body temperature or the translations of DNA to music in the Reading your Body chapter or How to recapture the wonderful freeing limitless of childhood in the chapter entitled Endless Possibilities - You Choose! Of course, all this knowledge requires the use of tools. Laura walks you through, step by step, with detailed exercises and sections for you to do them right there in the book. What a wonderful way to learn!!! Remember those school days when you had the workbook within the book you were learning from? It was so much easier to learn, when it was all right there in front of you! As you learn, you are invited to share your learning experiences in the sections provided. When you complete these chapters of the book, you are thirsty for more opportunities to use these tools and record their results. Personally, I could not wait until I received the Ancient Stardust Directional Cards. I ordered them as I came closer to the end of the book so I would be able to go back to the book and use them in the exercises. (I even ordered her Progress Journal so I could record my results and see how I was improving and learning to use these new intuitive skills I was acquiring.) These Cards are a wonder unto themselves. I am in awe of the magic I feel when using them. I have recommended this book to all my friends - even made gifts to those special friends that I know would benefit from being able to Divine their own Future. I look forward to returning to each chapter as new synchronicities happen, as my thirst for knowledge bounces me from one tool to another and as I continue to work to improve my skills. I feel as if I have been given the Drivers' Education Manual on how to steer my life and with the advance knowledge I will be better able to handle the ruts in the road, swerve when possible or cruise along and enjoy the scenery.
