Lucile C. Moore, PhD, is the author of a House Rabbit Primer and numerous articles on the history, folklore, and care of rabbits. In the course of her combined professional and personal lives she has cared for over 750 domestic rabbits of various breeds, and currently shares her home with fourteen house rabbits. She has dedicated herself to improving the lives of companion rabbits, but her love of animals is not limited to that species. Lucile has also served as a wildlife behavior consultant and fosters a neutered/spayed colony of feral cats. She lives on ten acres outside Kanab, Utah, among a host of jackrabbits and cottontails. Kathy Smith has had a passion for rabbits since childhood. After losing a beloved rabbit to cancer in 1998, Kathy wrote Rabbit Health in the 21st Century, combining her pharmaceutical industry experience with what she had learned about rabbits during Smokey's life. The medical challenges of another very special bunny, Murray, led Kathy to begin using alternative treatments in conjunction with traditional veterinary care. In her second book, King Murray's Royal Tail, Kathy tells the story of how an abandoned Easter Bunny named Murray completely changed her life. Kathy and her husband George have shared their Kansas City, MO home with rabbits since 1984.
