Editorial Reviews

Product Description
"Blue Wisdom" is a series of daily affirmations about finding God/Inspiration in ordinary life events. The passages remind us that God is often found, not in the complex philosophies of religion, but in the everyday experiences shared by all of us. "Blue Wisdom" is written from a dog's point of view. And it is through this unique perspective that we are invited to recall life's simple beauty, too often overlooked in the busy human world.

About the Author
Timothy Velner is an attorney living in Minneapolis, MN, with his wife, two daughters, and their dog named Blue. In 1997, afater becoming disillusioned by traditional religion's answers to life's questions, he temporarily left the practice of law to attend Divinity School at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley CA. There, he developed a greater and more formalized understanding of religion, and, as he says, "freed himself from it." He writes about understanding God in a new way through nature, simplicity, and everyday life experiences. His writings are inspired by the late Anthony deMello, a psychotherapist and Jesuit priest from India.
