About the Author
I was born in Moscow in 1937 in an ordinary soviet family, that managed to survive Stalin's repressions and World War II. In 1959 I graduated from Oil Institute with a degree in hydrogeology. Since then I was tirelessly traveling all over the spacious Russia. I was doing this with a great pleasure, - for I love Nature and only slightly less people populating this earth.
This instant love to Nature and people determined a great interest to the history of two. That is how I became an amateur historian. Geology and history were the passions that occupied my sole almost completely with the only room left for women that so graciously awarded me with three wonderful children.
