Suddenly, one finds him or herself standing, such as the old oak tree, statuesquely tall, durably solid and gallantly strong; after the tornado has past, never realizing that much damage has occurred, on the inside.

About the Author
Kathryn Carrington is a writer of poetry, fiction and non-fiction and has completed a series of short stories for children. Suicide, An Explosion Within, is her second book, with three more to follow. She is the proud mother of two adult children, Taavon and Tiffany Carrington. Kathryn is an avid reader and enjoys collecting ethnic art, playing occasional tennis, and spending time with her grand-daughters, Kourtney and Leah. Kathryn is a native of Baltimore and is currently residing in Laurel, Md.
