Unfortunately I can't help but start with what I'm unhappy about this product: The cover came damaged, probably because it was wrapped in a heat sealed plastic, the plastic film that protects the cover itself cracked a little bit and started to peel off the cover, witch disappointed me right there just opening the box that it came shipped in. Second, the binding is not that good. Being a very thick book, some pages got torn off the binding, and I'm very careful with books, I didn't even spread open this one all the way as to avoid this from happening. Still it did, three pages are now half torn from the book.

That's what I didn't like.

Other that the physical part of the purchase (apart from the pages, which where thick, durable and with rich color), the content is awesome! Being a transformers fan since a kid, I really wanted to know what happens in the transformers history, and this gave me lots of insight as to what transformers have been going through since times untold. I really enjoyed the story, and it was well supported by gorgeous graphics, very well done, very nicely illustrated, very enjoyable.

So is a mixed opinion, if you'd like to know transformers history, then you have to have this book ... keep in mind you'll have to treat it carefully while reading it though.

An essential part of the Transformers lore explaining how a simple record clerk become Optimus Prime and showing the first apparition of The Fallen, the main vilain of the new movie. Great artwork and scenario.

As described by a previous reviewer, I received a book with the plastic laminate bubbled and rippled across the whole cover. I requested a replacement and it came in the same condition. Looks like Amazon may have received a bad batch, but is content with sending them out anyway.

I returned both books, so I cannot review the actual content.
