Product Description

An abused runaway who won't reveal his identity. An outspoken police detective on the verge of losing his job. A meddling ex-wife with her own law firm. A social worker on a mission. A collision of personalities. Welcome to Casualty Crossing. Detective Toby Jenkins will tell you that he's been on the poor side of luck for the past decade and now he finds himself embroiled in another battle with his bosses at the Madison Police Department. They don't care for his style and he doesn't think too highly of theirs, either. Due to one of his miscues, TJ has been banished to administrative duty and is dying a slow death behind a desk. But detectives are scarce, so he is assigned to handle the case of a battered runaway boy with an attitude. TJ takes a chance to change the child's life, but in the process he realizes he must slay a few demons of his own order to succeed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Casualty Crossing by Kevin Hughes, September 7, 2009
By Fritz "pups pal" (Verona, WI USA) - See all my reviews
Great read. It's fast-paced with interesting twists & turns. Plot and charactors are well defined and very believable... it keeps the interest to the point of being hard to put down. Neat to have it centered in a town with which I'm well familiar. This is the first in a series, with the third one due out in 2010. Personaly, I can't wait!!!
