Product Description

The collections of the classic comic strips from the 80s continue with one of the most dramatic and searing slices of Transformers action ever put to print!

As the Autobots unveil their new secret weapon, Omega Supreme, and the stage is set for their greatest triumph, so tragedy strikes at the very heart of their ranks. The action cranks up to fever pitch, as the Special Teams — The Protectobots, the Combaticons, the Aerialbots and the Stunticons — make their debut. But the final battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron will not be fought with cold, hard steel, but rather within the digital realm... of a computer game!

Never-before collected, these are the stories that created a legend!

About the Author

BOB BUDIANSKY wrote many of the early Transformers issues for Marvel US, as well as practically the whole Transformers Universe book. In addition to his work on Avengers, Ghost Rider, and Sleepwalker, he also wrote Transformers: Headmasters.

DON PERLIN is a veteran comics artist and creator, with a slew of credits for Marvel, including long runs on Defenders and Ghost Rider, and Valiant, for whom he drew Bloodshot, Timewalker, and Solar. As an inker, he has worked on Namor: the Sub-Mariner and The Inhumans.

HERB TRIMPE is perhaps best known for his extended runs on The Incredible Hulk and G.I. Joe, but his work extends across a whole range of Marvel titles, including early work for Marvel UK on Captain Britain. --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars At 4 volumes it's still going strong, July 21, 2005
Reprints issues #19-24, this is volume 4 of a 14 volume set, so far 4 volumes in and it just gets better as the groundwork is set, characters keep popping in, the epic feel is still there.

this is a book any fan will want though make sure you get the first 3 volumes if possible since even though they print these in 6 issue arcs it's really one huge 80 issue story and that's what makes it great, it spans the universe, battles are huge, the stakes high and it's a hell of a ride.

i have been a fan since since they first came on tv and never got a chance to read them but thanks to these trades i have been able to correct that, the movie that is supposed to be due out in 2007 is what spurred me on to buy them again, i had worried about finding old issues since they can be $10 or more for a single issue, but i found these books, now i can follow the whole story.

if your a fan then get them, no question, if your not a fan these will make you one, it has action, a great story, larger than life battles, giant robots fighting for the sake of the galaxy..there is a reason it's held strong for over 20 years.
