Phaedra is attending a party where she needs to try and convince Rand Scott-Thomas not to take over her uncle's business. Once there, Phaedra meets Rand. However, she is not aware that he is the man she is supposed to speak with.

Rand meets beautiful and sensual Phaedra and seduces her. After they share a very erotic liaison, Phaedra discovers who Rand really is and hurriedly leaves the party. Rand follows her and proposes that if Phaedra becomes his mistress he will stop the takeover. Phaedra is very attracted to Rand, and since she feels she has no other choice, she agrees to Rand's demands. As time goes by, Rand finds his feelings for Phaedra growing. Can they have a future together once the deal is over?

Family and Promises is a wonderful story. It is erotic and romantic, full of smoldering sex and tender emotional moments. Rand and Phaedra are very likeable characters and as a couple they are well-suited and very passionate. I thoroughly enjoyed Family and Promises. It's a heart-warming, feel-good book with the happily-ever-after ending romance readers, like myself, love.
