Product Description

The twentieth century was a true testing ground for tactics, conducting warfare, and, inevitably, weaponry. The mainstay of all armies in the two great confrontations of that century was the military rifle. This informative book presents information on more than 60 weapons, including semiautomatics and auto-loaders, including the Mauser, Lee-Enfield, and Tokarev. A detailed description of each rifle and its key features is supported by technical data and specially selected illustrations. Details of relevant ammunition and accessories complete the work. This compact and authoritative guide to military rifles covers rifles from Britain, the USA, Germany, Russia, and elsewhere.

This book is a good general source of information. It gives descitions and photographs in sufficient detail for most collectors. It would serve as a good starter point for the more serious student/collector.

4.0 out of 5 stars Military Rifles of Two World Wars, May 6, 2008
I liked this book and am pleased with my purchase. The historys and schematics were about 98% correct, with very few errors. I would advise others to purchase this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Military Rifles of Two World Wars (Greenhill Military Manuals), January 18, 2007
A surprising amount of information in a small book. The sections on the history of the Mauser company alone were worth the price of admission.
