Bill Gunston is a former RAF pilot whose career includes many years on the staff of Flight International as Technical Editor. Since 1970 he has been a prolific freelance writer and journalist. He is the author of over 300 books and 2000 magazine articles. Bill Gunston lives in Haslemere, Surrey, with his wife Margaret who is also an aircraft enthusiast and ex-glider pilot. Peter Gilchrist lives in Farnham, Hampshire. Qualified as a mechanical engineer, he has had a wide ranging career as a defence journalist. He was until fairly recently Editor of Armed Forces magazine. Peter Gilchrist is the author of a number of books, including the acclaimed Sea Power volume in the Osprey Desert Storm trilogy.
