5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful translations of primary documents., February 7, 1999
By A Customer
Anyone doing research on the Crusades who seeks to delve deeper into the activities and thoughts of the historical figures involved would do well to seek out this book. The translations of primary source documents allow those with an interest in history to see what the actual participants thought and felt. The text which fills in the spaces between the documents, and the historians' appraisal of the times and situations, is well-written, entertaining, and insightful.
