2.0 out of 5 stars Everybody is not the greatest, April 27, 1999
By A Customer
Basically a coffee table type book, The Piano falls down in its attempts to describe the merits of the various great pianists and composers for the piano because it runs out of superlatives. Perhaps this is a criticism of English's limits, but surely there must be a way to distinguish between the greatness of Bach over the greatness (comparative mediocrity) of Schubert.

Lots of pictures, might be nice for a coffee table or a dentist's office.

This review is from: The Piano (Hardcover)
I bought this book for my Grandmother and she loves it so much, she wants to get it for someone else. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time finding it.
