5.0 out of 5 stars The best source on cigars that I could find for a beginner., February 20, 2002
By A Customer
This is a great book! Opinions are based as a newcomer to cigar smoking. Its biggest attribute are the pictures through out; even though one of the cigars being built appears to be a counterfeit, page 35 (Cohiba). The cigar directory has just about every popular brand from every major contributing country. The pictures in this section are fabulous. Each different size is clearly shown with crisp bands. Also each brand is accompanied with a summary about itself.

The beginning of the book goes into such topics as tobacco, how cigars are made, shapes, guide to sizes, cigar quality, purchasing, counterfeits, packaging, labels, bands, cutting, and of course smoking and more. A fair sized book with 256 pages. I bought my copy off the bargain rack and to this day, I would have paid twice as much for it.
