Chapbooks were virtually the only reading matter for the poorer classes and so they provide for us a window that opens upon the heroes and legends, folklore and supersititons of the past. This charming collection contains over 100 chapbooks with facsimiles of the original covers and woodcut illustrations. A delight for history buffs.
