Editorial Reviews

Review

"The Ultimate Search Book is more comprehensive than any other book of its kind....It should certainly make searching for relatives, living or dead, much easier." -- Keith F. Rose, Director, LDS Family History Center

"I am pleased that Lori Carangelo is continuing certain aspects of the work I began in 1953 when I founded Orphan Voyage. 'The Ultimate Search Book' can assist many to find answers to 'Who am I?' and 'Is my child alive and well?' It will also educate other about the abuse of 'confidentiality' and the need to abolish secrecy in family law." -- Jean Pation, MA, MSW

"I find that it would be helpful to anyone who is looking for a family member, whether adopted or not." -- Major Gerry Hood, Past Coordinator, Salvation Army Missing Persons Division

"Lori Carangelo's comprehensive work involving the intracasies of the search process is the quintessential reference for all persons wishing to fit together the pieces of an unresolved past. Her efforts through AmFOR have resulted in countless reunions which would otherwise not have been possible without her in-depth knowledge of the search process...and is must reading." -- Dr. Stanley S. Reyburn, Past-President, Palm Springs Writers Guild

"The information has gone beyond all other search books and must have taken a great deal of research." -- Betty Heide, Director, Reunion Registry of Indiana --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Impressive & Up To Date, September 17, 2000
By Roberta Medford, Social Science Bibliographer (UCLA Research Library-Los Angeles) - See all my reviews
....A very impressive, up-to-date compilation of U.S. and foreign contact information for government agencies and organizations useful in searching for people or records. The author also provides extensive tips and background on searching, in a helpful step-by-step format. This sort of reference book (which the author plans to keep updated) should become a standard source in any library supporting genealogical or other public record-related research.
