Review
Boldrey's Guide to Operatic Roles & Arias and Guide to Operatic Duets are welcome reference tools for the singer and voice teacher. The volumes are brimming with pertinent, indisputable facts. They are destined to be the standard of the genre. -- Bard Suverkrop, Culver City, California

In a nutshell, the book is easy to use, thoroughly researched, and attractively formatted with Pst...Inc.'s usual attention to quality. The information is cross-referenced "for maximum usefullness and minimum flipping through the pages." Entries are clear, concise, and useful. -- The Opera Journal

4.0 out of 5 stars In the nick of time..., January 8, 2009
By J.A. Peter (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews
I needed this out-of-print book for a holiday gift to my singer son. Priority shipping options were not clear, and the book needed to cross the country, from California to Maryland. Happily, it arrived on December 23. So, after some anxiety all turned out well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Useful reference for classical vocal professionals, August 15, 2000
By Aman Zed (Los Angeles, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This is my new standard reference for voice types, arias, composers, and so forth in the standard operatic repertoire. I wish I had the same type of reference for the concert repertoire. It's expensive, but I'm glad I bit the bullet and bought it. I wish my agent had one (and might buy one for him as a gift).
