Product Description
: With compassion and humor, Donald Black, bestselling author and creator of the successful Smart Dating workshops, guides you though the sometimes challenging world of dating and relationships. Black begins by teaching the basic steps to ensure that a relationship gets a solid healthy start. You first learn to assess yourself, and then adopt the appropriate attitude and self-image before learning how to find and approach that special someone. The basics of dating are discussed including:

* Ten best places to meet people * How to find the perfect date for you * How to have a happy, healthy and enduring relationship * Why we have problems in relationships * How to keep a relationship alive and avoid burnout Smart Dating is filled with anecdotes gathered from years of personal experience, as well as from stories shared by thousands who've attended his workshops and lectures.

About the Author
Donald Black is the author of the forthcoming 2nd ed. of Smart Dating: A Guide to Starting and Keeping a Healthy Relationship. He has also written and performed his popular Smart Dating Workshop Audio (based on his three hour workshops). Black has been a guest on radio and TV shows throughout the US and Canada which feature the topics of dating and relationships. Black's expertise in this field has been culled from his own experience as a single person after a 16 year marriage, hundreds of documented interviews with people, and his unique ability as a workshop leader to teach and encourage people to improve their romantic lives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like discovering hidden treasure, October 23, 1998
By A Customer
Donald Black is just that, a hidden treasure in a sea of would-be "self-help-ists." Instead of trying to sell you on some crazy method or present you with lousy pickup lines, he gives you advice and suggestions that make sense. This is a book for men and women alike. Once you have read it (and it's a fast and easy read), you will come back to it again and again to reflect on Donald's good words of wisdom. You will see changes in yourself and in your dating life after you read Smart Dating.

Whether you are looking for a commited relationship or if you just want to find interesting people to date, Smart Dating is the book for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful insight for both men AND women., May 12, 1998
By A Customer
Being a woman who's been married over 14 years, I found Donald Black's "Smart Dating" to be informative, with excellent ideas that are easily implemented, and are valuable to all relationship types, married or otherwise. Originally purchased for my 18-year old daughter, I found the information applied to all ages and relationships, including this "old married couple." Mr. Black's relationship ideas WORK!!
