5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!, December 31, 2004
By B.A.D. (North America) - See all my reviews
David Donald's aviation writing has always been high-calibre, and this is right up on the list. This extensive book covers the history and operational use of the F-100 Super Sabre, F-101 Voodoo, F-102 Delta Dagger, F-104 Starfighter, F-105 Thunderchief and F-106 Delta Dart. Loads of colour photos and drawings and fold-outs really add to the information. Not only U.S. usage of these classic jets is covered, but also foreign use. This is particularly true in the case of the "manned missile," the F-104 Starfighter. This was actually used more by foreign air forces, especially the Royal Canadian Air Force (as the CF-104) and the German Luftwaffe and Bundesmarine (as the F-104G), than by the USAF.

Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in these classic jets.

5.0 out of 5 stars They don't come much better than this!, August 16, 2004
All of the aviation books from this publisher are phenomenal, and are bargains even at the price offered. I highly recommend them to all miliary aviation enthusiasts.
