There are four important questions to ask when evaluating any skill-based visa program: 1)Is the current supply of people with that skill sufficient? 2)Will the supply by sufficient in the future? 3)Is the visa program responsive to the labor market? 4)Does this flow of professionals benefit the United States and the sending countries?
This study answers these questions for the two leading health professions-doctors and nurses.
