About the Author
Ridley Wills II is a native Tennessean and the 1991 winner of the Tennessee History Book Award. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Wills has been an adjunct professor of history at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he has taught courses about Nashville's past for more than a decade.
Wills has written Old Enough to Die (1996), a gripping nonfiction account of a southern family during the Civil War as told through narrative and their private correspondence. Wills is also the author of Tennessee Governors at Home, The History of Belle Meade Country Club, A Walking Tour of Mt. Olivet Cemetary (1993), The History of Belle Meade (1991), and Belle Meade Bloodlines (1990).
