4.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive guide to technical diving, June 17, 1999
Gary Gentile takes an informal, even close to conversational approach in tackling technical diving. Pretty interesting chapter on tanks which is not found in other techncial diving books. A lot of colored photos and illustrations that prod you to read on ... If you're not yet into technical diving or considering to get into tek, this is the book for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars A tek diver must!, April 10, 2000
By A Customer
As a new tek diver, I found this book very informative and written with a strong dose of common sense. It gives the reader a realistic view of what to expect in tek diving. I still refer to it often, especially the section on equipment and dive computers. With so much hype out there about tek diving, it's good to read a down to earth book about a very serious subject.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very interesting perspective - the day to day of Technical diving, September 29, 2005
I liked the content of the book. I would love to find a book that is more current on dive computers though. It was very heavily slanted on the day to day issues of technical diving including eating and waste elimination. I would have liked a bit more on the technology and science of mixed gas diving. Overall it was a very enjoyable read.
