This self-help audio is read with considerable humor and feeling by Penn Jillette of Penn and Teller fame. Schmoozing, as we generally understand it?as cocktail party banter, working a room, or using flattery to gain some personal advantage?has gained a reputation it generally doesn't deserve, according to author Jaye. In contrast, Jaye's view of schmoozing can be summed up as "the authentic practice of treating others well," a phrase that doubles as a subtitle. And, yes, listeners will learn a lot about themselves and how they should be treating folks as they listen to his advice. Who doesn't want to be liked (or loved) better? Follow along and put to use some of Jaye's practical suggestions. In case additional inspiration is wanted, a large number of resources, ranging from books to magic tricks, are mentioned or described in detail.
