Editorial Reviews

Review

DON'T PUT LIPSTICK ON THE CAT is a book that I will be recommending to all the "mom's" I know! Debbie Farmer shares the ups and downs of motherhood with honesty while never forgetting that through the madness, you never stop loving your kids with all your heart and soul.

Within the pages of Debbie's book are quirky anecdotes taken straight from the author's life. You?ll be able to relate to many of them---from hiding on top of the washing machine where they can?t see your feet under a door to one of my favorite experiences ? making fruit salad with a group of kindergarteners! Every word she has to say on that experience is spot on.

Do yourself a tremendous favor and buy this book. For me, it was refreshing to see that I am not the only mom to have endured some of these experiences! I'm probably not the only mom around to hem her kid's pants with a stapler! It's great to hear that for some of my life events, I'm not alone! --Roundtable Reviews

Debbie Farmer is simply hilarious in her book titled Don't Put Lipstick on the Cat!

A frazzled mother--Farmer--tells stories of her family's antics that every other parent can relate to. From food shopping to birthday parties, you'll laugh out loud as I did because these incidents are so close to home.

So relax, grab a seat and a cup of coffee, and read this great book! --Book Review Cafe

Product Description

5.0 out of 5 stars Dad likes it too..., April 26, 2004
By John (USA) - See all my reviews
I bought this book for my wife and ended up reading it myself. As parents of a two year old and three year old, we could relate to practically every story. Some stories like "Ode to Dad" really hit home. This book is a must for any parent. We need more family humor to make us realize we're not the only ones going through these things. As it says on the cover, "laughter really is the best medicine for parenting"! I can't fathom why anyone who has kids wouldn't enjoy this book immensely.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a Funny Read!!!!, December 3, 2003
By Suzie Boyle (Bay Area) - See all my reviews
I just discovered this author by accident as I was browsing the Amazon site. Her book sounded interesting and so I ordered it. It came this morning and I haven't been able to put it down since! Ms. Farmer has her finger on the pulse of motherhood and really knows how to tell a funny story. Whether she's telling the hilarious story of the "homemade lunches" or detailing her adventures of going "cartless" through the big department stores, she had me in stitches!!! I can't recommend this book enough to anyone who has kids. Ms. Farmer has proved an expert at tickling the funny bone.
