Mrs. Wootten's book is the best that I have read on the subject of the Biblical Feasts.
The author uses Scripture to explain symbols and the feasts in detail.
Part 1 covers the history of Ephraim and Judah.Two-House history.
Here are some highlights from this book:
*Differences in calendars relating to counting the omer.
*Exposes some of the motives for switching the Sabbath with Sunday worship.
*4 types of Passover.
*David's fallen Tabernacle explained.
*Gives some information about Jewish traditions.
*The agricultural basis for some of the feasts.
*She broke the Feasts into 3 groups-corresponding to the 3 areas of the Temple-and the 3 roles of Messiah.

"Israel's Feasts and Their Fullness" is complete with numerous footnotes,extensive index and a bibliography.
There are also some suggestions/guides for celebrating the feasts.

This lovely book presents a most apealing look at Yahweh's (the Lord's) feasts and gives you a desire to celebrate them. It is an interestingly written, most understandable look at these God ordained celebrations. They are a prophetic picutre of what Yahweh is doing in history.

No, they are not strickly Old Testament celebrations. All who have accepted Yahshua (Jesus) as their Savior are grafted into the vine and are Spiritual Israel. As such all the promises given by Yahweh to Abraham and the other Old Testament writers are theirs to enjoy. Also, the set apart holy days are for them to celebrate. Christmas and Easter are pagan holidays designed by Satan to get us to abondon God's chosen feasts and worship other Gods. Our Savior, the Apostles, John, Peter, Paul, etc. all kept The feasts. Yes, they were Jewish, but it was assumed that Gentile believers would be taught in the synagogues about Yahweh's Old Testament Torah (law) instructions (Acts 15:21).

Paul never told us in his letters not to keep the feasts, but rather to do so with a proper heart attitude. In Galatians 4:8-11 Paul tells Gentile believers, "When you did not know God,you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods." He then warns believers not to turn back again to the weak and worthless elemental things and be enslaved to them all over again and says he fears for these people, because they observe days and months and seasons and years. In this warning, Paul may well be talking about Gentile believers in the Messsiah returning to pagan traditions. In Galatians 4:3 Paul warns about the elemental things of the world. "Things of the world" does not describe the principles of Messiah nor the Biblical feasts (Colossians 2:8).

In order to understand Colossians 2:16-17 we first need to look back to verse 8, were Paul warned, "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, acording to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Messiah." Verses 16-17 emphsises that the feasts shadow or portray our Messiah. They are a shadow of the things to come and do indeed have value. As Shadows can't be seperated from their substance, they let you know about the divine promise of all the heavenly realities about to arrive. Paul in these verses in Colossians may be warning Gentile believers no to let non blievers judge them for "honoring" the Scriptural feasts, dietary laws, Sabbath, etc.

This delightful book will inform you not only about the Biblical meaning of each of the feast, but also tell you how to observe them.
