Product Description

He Wouldn't Drink Hemlock: The Firing of Dr. Leisure was a factual account of the author being fired from Western Illinois University on 20 June 1991. This book takes up where the other ended and documents the events that transpired since the autumn of 1993. This book recounts some of the adventures of Dr. Leisure as he is checking out nude beaches and nudist resorts from coast to coast. It also includes a detailed account of the manoeuvrings of the University Professionals of Illinois and their intentional efforts to misrepresent Dr. Harker. Lots of interesting tales as Dr. Leisure meets the Pagan community and finds that he too is a "born again pagan". And many other tales from Hawaii.

About the Author

Dr. Harker received a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in 1974. He joined the faculty of Western Illinois University in 1970. In his twenty-one years of teaching at WIU Dr. Harker was an outstanding teacher, researcher, and scholar. Nothing breeds contempt like success. When Harker's professional interest in nude beaches took him to exotic places such as Hawaii and literally around the world, his immediate superiors could tolerate it no longer. A number of them collaborated and succeeded in having Dr. Harker fired from WIU in 1991.
