Product Description
Utah! Beautiful black and white photos of 23 nature and national park areas in Utah. Photography In The West showcases 45 (23 of Utah) beautiful black and white nature and National Park photos of Utah, Colorado, California, Oregon, and Wyoming. The West is a photographer's land of possibilities. From desert sand to high mountain regions, the variety is an endless exploration of beauty. It is a land that is ever changing. Individual prints are available for purchase. Coffee Table Book 80# Gloss Paper.

From the Author
The images in this book are all made with a large format, 4x5 camera. The beauty of large format not only gives the photographer a large negative to work with, but it slows the image maker down to very carefully regard the image andfocus creative energy into visualization. The film used is Kodak Tri-X. Spending 20 years with a film helps me to understand and know its characteristics. Prints are made on the best bromide paper I can find, Ilford’s Galerie, Zone VI Brilliant, and the now extinct Oriental Seagull.

5.0 out of 5 stars Breathtaking photography of unique Western landscapes., August 7, 1999
By A Customer
I am fortunate enough to live in Utah where I believe the author lives. I purchased a copy of this book at a gallery show in Utah, and have since purchased several original pieces from the artist.

The book captures what I believe makes up alot of the Western mystique. Mr. Barney has a great eye for things that people often look past, even if they are lucky enough to visit some of the locations. The pictures range from reflections dancing off of water rolling through a riverbed, to absolutely breathtaking panoramas.

If you are interested in Ansel Adams' work, you are sure to be mesmorized by Mr. Barney's unique view of the world. This would be a great addition to anyone's coffee table, and would be a great resource to anyone interested in becoming a better photographer themself.
