Editorial Reviews
Book Description
Civil War ghosts and haunted lighthouses are the focus of the ninth volume of the Spirits Between the Bays ghost/folklore series. Learn of the spirits in Gettysburg's Farnsworth House Inn and Restaurant and the ghosts at Point Lookout State Park (at one time site of the Nation's Largest Civil War Prison).

Readers also will read the eerie tales associated with a graveyard near Easton, Maryland, ghostly activity in two Delaware businesses, ghost hunters in New Jersey, what it's like to move a corpse and the strange encounters at "the most haunted lighthouse in America," located at the southern tip of Maryland's Western Shore.

Nearly 20 stories are included in this terrifying volume, and eight of the sites are open to the public--the most listed in any volume since Welcome Inn, Vol. III, our very popular book on haunted inns restaurants and museums.

About the Author
Ed Okonowicz is the author of 15 books, including two volumes featuring haunted antiques and nine volumes (as of summer 2000) of the 13-volume Spirits Between the Bays Mid-Atlantic ghost/folklore series. Several of his books have won state and national awards. The books in his Delmarva Murder Mystery Series are set on the Delmarva Peninsula, which includes Delaware and the Eastern Shore counties of Maryland and Virginia.

Also a professional storyteller, he has appeared in the documentary Ghost Waters, which was featured on the Learning Channel and he conducts Ghost Tours at Fort Delaware and at other sites throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. He has been referred to as "Delmarva's master of written fear" and Delmarva's Stephen King."
