Janet Swaffar, a Professor of German at the University of Texas at Austin, studies the applications of linguistic theory to the pedagogical concerns of first and second year language learners. Susan Romano, Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at San Antonio, is interested in online pedagogies. Phillip Markley is a Visiting Professor at Ritsumeikan University in Japan. He has taught ESL on four continents. Katherine Arens, a Professor of German at the University of Texas at Austin, is particularly interested in the philosophy and psychology of language.
