3.0 out of 5 stars Good Read But Of Little Value In Helping Unravel The Mystery, February 2, 2000
I always enjoy reading Branton's articles so don't take this review wrong! As for this book it contains an awful lot of material that has already been posted on the Internet which I find disappointing, therefore the 3 star rating. There is very little new information here and almost NO verifiable information when it comes to aliens, UFO's or even a real military base in the area. I think the non-investigator will find this book a very good and interesting read, whether you believe it or not. Branton does get you to thinking, as usual. I continue to wonder who Branton is trying to confuse, 'us' or the government. He writes using only his first name so he can't be located saying he is in fear of '?'. Just like Commander X! Surely he must know that if he is writing and publishing a book 'they' (whoever) know who he is and where he lives, there is a money trail. I think writing books using this tactic is just a gimmick to make more money from the masses following the UFO issue. The whole issue of UFO's, aliens and underground bases etc is full of lies, faked photos and abductions and overall a lot of false information. I have been unable to verify a lot of what Branton as well as many others have written about Dulce (I live very close and I am actually doing my own investigation. I am a retired Police Officer and also spent over 10 years in the US Army so I know about secret areas etc). I feel this book contains a lot of intentionally vague and unverifiable information. For the serious investigator this book has little to offer. If you are looking for hard verifiable facts (photos of secured gates, military vehicles, lights in the sky, anything!), you won't find them here. It is an accepted fact that the US Government has a secret military base in the general area and that the area is used by the Special Forces for training. (I have friends who train in the area) I also find it curious that Branton has gone off into the New World Order Conspiracy concept in this book. I think this really confuses the whole issue and adds another unverifiable dimension to this mystery. Don't worry I will continue to read all of Branton's books and articles because once in awhile he does come up with a small piece of usable information. It is just disappointing that this book contains nothing new. My opinion only! And if I am ever able to verify what Branton has written about Dulce I'll make sure to let everyone know, using my real name!

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique...Let's just say that., February 11, 2005
By Robert S. Vannrox (wrentham, ma United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
It is written acceptably, and the subject matter is certainly "out there". But, if you discard the flimsy cover material and look at the content, it is a great read. If this was all made up...it would be a great read. If this is all true it is even a greater read. I found it interesting and compelling. My initial reaction to it was astonishment that someone would publish such a crazy work. But now, after reading it, I am not so sure. Certainly a worth while read. Well...shall I be comfortable in my ignorance or, shall I know the truth about our world? Read this book and make up your own mind.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a bad UFO conspiracy book but very 'taken for granted', October 11, 2003
By OverTheMoon (overthemoonreview@hotmail.com) - See all my reviews
(TOP 500 REVIEWER)
This is a pretty good UFO conspiracy book because the author has documented over fifty cases that are related to a strange underground base in Dulce, New Mexico that may or may not exist. It is pretty much the ultimate UFO/Government conspiracy book and the author is pretty much describing a type of "Hell on Earth" scenario for the future. It was written in 1999, before the millenium, and the author has all the hallmarks of an apocalypse writer.

The value of this book is that is covers a lot of stories from others people's work and tries to link them altogether in one volume. It is the only book that I know of which goes into detail with its description of the case of Phil Schneider who was found dead in his house after a lecture tour about secret bases.

I found this book helpful in that it brought my attention to other UFO cases that I knew nothing about and I was able to learn a little more about these elsewhere because of this book. It certainly is more of a 'horror' story than investigative reporting but again the value is in learning about stories that you have not heard about before.

This book certainly does not cover mainstream UFO events and is more geared towards government conspiracies, New World Order, Free Masons and all that kind of stuff. It appears to be orientated in the direction of demonology too - there is a ton of stuff and reptilians and lucifer. If you like David Icke then you will probably like this book. If you don't like David Icke then you will probably do well to keep away from it. It is written in the same kind of tone as the Commander-X series of books.

Again the value is in learning about new cases but be warned the author does sound to be in panic most of the time and thus lowers the authoritative nature of this book considerably.
