Product Description

It's bed time, and like the excellent parent you are, you prepare to read a bed-time story to your children. What to read? Shall it be syrup or saccarine tonight? Or maybe we should skip right to the chunks.

At last there is hope! In the ancient tradition of the Brothers Grimm, Yard Dog Press is proud to bring this collection to you. That's right! Finally a collection of stories that will scare any 20th or 21st century cild into behaving--just as those of the Grimm Brothers have scared straight so many previous generations.

No more sugar coating. No PC garbage. Just plain, simple--If you misbehave in this way, the consequences will be dire!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff in this collection, October 14, 2001
An enjoyable collection of fables and fairy tales for the modern child. The stories range from the fantastic to realistic. Each one is chosen with a specific moral or lesson, which is clearly described. I was incredibly impressed with how some of the morals were handled in the stories. None seemed overly preachy, but were extremely entertaining.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scary Stories, Fairy Stories and Look Behind You Stories, December 9, 2000

Good reading! Full of interesting characters and goose-bump endings. Particularly loved the word-eating Spelkin by D.S.Renzulli and the Beverly Hale and Paul Carlson stories.
