Be the Message, November 10, 2006
I am very surprised that there are not more reviews for this recording. I thought that people who enjoyed the movie, 'The Secret', would've flocked to this classic recording, but I guess I was mistaken.
This recording's message is basically, what you think about, is what you will receive. I'm sorry to dissapoint the people who are looking for something "new"...something "magical"...something that will "blow their mind"...because this recording offers more of the same thing that countless others have offered over the years.
But what is the same?
I have recordings from Ernest Holmes, Joseph Murphy, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Eric Butterworth from Unity and they all talk about how our thoughts create our reality. To me, just the fact that they are talking about this, is a mind blower. Now it may not be for you, because you've heard this before...but think about it...I mean, really, really think about it...isn't it kind of amazing that we live in a universe that is so willing to respond to our thoughts about it? I mean, yeah, sure, you've heard about these concepts as have I, but the vast majority of people have not. The vast majority of people still feel like they are at the mercy of the world, they have no idea how a simple shift in their thinking can change their entire life.
This recording, although dated, hits home with me every time. It makes me think about how I got involved in all this "mind-stuff" in the first place. I had just had what doctors call an emotional "breakdown" but what I call, a "breakthrough". The world that I had lived in had shattered in a million pieces, but you see, this is the only way that I would've come to see the Light. Before my breakthrough, the world was solid, heavy, and dark. I had no idea that I was perpetuating the myth that I lived in an unfriendly universe.
But a few months later, I had this inner ephiphany, that maybe my entire identity was something I created...maybe my life was the way it was, because I believed certain things about me, about my life, about the universe. What would happen if I believed differently?
You know the answer.
My life did change, because I changed. I am changing reality all of the time...we all are, but now is the accepted time to do this consciously. Now is the time that we do this with conscious intent. I would suggest listening to this recording every day with the intent of truly embodying its message. This is what I am currently doing. Instead of buying the latest book or CD, I am going back in my collection and rediscovering "the classics" and I am literally innundating my mind and heart and soul with these invaluable Truths that we, who are on a path such as this, have heard hundreds of times but still fail to embody. We have a mixture of old thoughts and new thoughts and so many of us will experience a mixture of results.
With the help of this recording, the movie, The Secret, and a few Ernest Holmes books, it is my intent to strip away any last belief, idea, or notion that I am less than whole. It is my intention to know that all the "holes" that are in my personality are not a form of insufficiency, but are indeed, guides to my holiness...my wholeness.
If you haven't treated yourself to this recording, I urge you to do it. It is a classic. And although you may giggle at first at the sound of Earl Nightingale's voice...he kind of sounds like Balloo the bear in the Jungle Book, the ideas he offers will set off new lights, new experiences, and a deeper realization that we can be, do, and have that which we desire.
May your days be filled to overflowing with the Peace, Plenty, and Joy that you truly deserve.

Thank you Earl, for the "T H I N K" wake up call, November 10, 2002
I saw the video of the strangest secret yesterday at a job training, and I have to say,my life is changed forever. This expert with a heighted level of knowledge was almost like a gift from God. Why so dramatic, because I would still be traditionally conformed like 98 out of 100 people out there. I am NO LONGER going to allow this to E V E R happen to me again.
If you truly want to be successful in anything, this is an absolute must have. Knowing what I know now, this book is priceless. If it sold for 1,000.00 +, I can GUARANTEE to you, it's worth every red cent.

Listen to this over and over, March 3, 2005
I first heard this delivery when I was a kid in the 60's when my father managed a team of salesmen. The 33LP was played several times but of course I was too young to pay any attention. I purchased this CD recently and am amazed how much of an impact it had on me, not only to recollect my early years but also the powerful and dynamic message it contains. Now armed with advanced degrees in social sciences and versed somewhat in William James (quoted by Earl), I can attest to the validity of the message. What is as interesting is the fact that this recording DID mark the start of the the "self-improvement" bonanza that followed. "Gurus" such as Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy no doubt relied heavily on Mr. Nightingale's message. Listen to this over and over! Only negative is that I can't believe with our technology we couldn't filter some of the the scratchiness of the background....otherwise, enjoy!!!
