About the Author
Lou Allin sings two national anthems, having been born in Toronto but raised in Ohio, when her father followed the film business to Cleveland in 1948. His profession explains her passion for celluloid classics, which shows up frequently in her writing. She received her Ph.D. in English Renaissance literature just as the bottom dropped out of the boomer hirings and, discovering that she retained her Canadian citizenship, she headed north, ending up at Cambrian College in Sudbury, Ontario, where she has taught literature, writing, and public speaking for the past twenty-five years. Like Belle Palmer, her sleuth, she lives beside the breathtaking vistas of a sixty-four-square-mile meteor crater lake, where she canoes and snowmobiles, hikes and snowshoes. When the blackflies tap her out, she travels to the Four Corners area of the American southwest.
