Editorial Reviews

Product Description
At the time, little was recorded about the activities of Alfa Romeo’s World Championship–winning Sports Racing car, the Tipo 33. The model had a long career, as a factory car as well as in private hands from 1967 until 1977. Great Italian motorsport engineer Carlo Chiti designed and ran a prolific number of different models of the Tipo. Unfortunately, nothing of the history of these developments was documented at the time, but the author has managed, after intense investigation and numerous personal interviews, to uncover much about this marvelous sports prototype.

About the Author
Ed McDonough has raced saloons, sports cars and single seaters from the late 1950s, and took part in World Championship sports car races in the 1970s, when the Alfa Romeo T33s were competing. He was UK Chairman of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club for 10 years and contributes to Autocollezioni, Auto Italia and other specialist journals. Peter Collins is a motoring journalist and photographer, and is founder and editor-at-large of Auto Italia magazine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the Wait, March 1, 2006
This book was just released and is already on backorder! Just having got mine I now know why: It's terrific! Packed with vintage pictures it covers the development history of the Tipo 33 from 1964 to 1977. A must for any vintage racing buff.
