About the Author

Harry W. Ilaria was born in Newark, NJ in 1948. He graduated Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BS degree in Mathematics and pursued a career as a computer programmer. He and his wife, Karen, met in high school and were married in 1971. They currently reside in Montville, NJ. In 1990 he founded HI-Tech Software which is now the worlds leading producer of automobile related informational software titles.

This CD delivers on what it promises. It contains well over 100 Camaro ads that have been produced since the dawn of the car's existence. The small number of third and fourth generation ads are disappointing, but GM is to blame for this, as they drastically cut back their advertising on the Camaro in recent years. The one thing that did bother me about this compilation was the fact that many of these ads appear to be scanned images of actual magazine ads, so the resolution is not that great and there is often a very noticeable line running down the center of the ad, where it is split on the pages. I would think if GM would authorize the use of their ads on this CD, they would want them to appear as clearly as possible. Then again, as GM's lack of advertising in the later years shows, maybe they just don't care about these cars anymore.

An unbelievable CD-ROM! Almost a 400 large, crisp photos, clip art, TV commercials, a slide show, the "White Book" statistics and prices and much more is included. The screen saver is worth the price alone. If you like Camaros, you WILL love this CD.

I am a big fan of the other automobile anthologies produced by this author...got to have it.

This guy, Young Tae Byun is crazy! The Camaro Anthology 2001 is incredibly well designed with a very easy to use interface. The images found on the CD depicting each generation of Camaros are copyrighted, professional photos of high resolution with none taken from the internet. The sound clips are high-quality near cd level wav files. The specifications of all generation Camaro are compiled from Chevrolet released documents. The Camaro ads are well scanned from original ads at high resolution.

A lot of the information found on this CD can be found on the internet or any local library but with many hours or days worth of research and at great expense to purchase the many books from the bibliography that is listed for the Camaro Anthology.
Not to mention the original TV commercials!. This guy could not have been looking at the same Camaro Anthology that I and many members of my Camaro club use as our bible! I would strongly recommend purchasing this CD.
