Host Denis Leary is the biggest name of the nine comics who took part in this annual performance benefiting the Cam Neely Foundation. Leary's rants are electrifying. Anthony Clark's folksy, self-deprecating style allows his warmth and personality to come through, and Adam Ferrara's subtle timing builds joke upon joke to surprise listeners; both are both popular with the live audience. However, so much of the concert's humor focuses on the 2000 election that it feels dated. Many of the remaining comics depend on anger and obscenity to make their points, making the recording unappealing to many listeners.
