5.0 out of 5 stars It Works, February 10, 2001
By Bob Drum (Chicago) - See all my reviews
What can I say. I have bought Tim Sweeney's Guide To Releasing Independent Records & The Living Room Sessions. Once I decided to follow what this guy said in his books and tapes, it worked. I have repressed three times.

The new book works great. My site didn't do anything before. Sweeney shows you how to convert offline people into online traffic. Before I read the book I was getting a 1,000 hits a week, now I get 26,000 hits a week. What can I say, what the guy says works. I quit my day job.

5.0 out of 5 stars Alright it works, February 7, 2001
By Mike Timlin (New York) - See all my reviews
I'm a musician in New York. The worst music city in the country. That makes me skeptical of everything. When I emailed web sites like Amazon, CD Baby, MP3.com, everyone gave me ideas of what to do. All of them said use Tim Sweeney's new internet book. So I bought a copy. Still being skeptical, I tried some of the stuff in the book.

All I can say is that it worked. I'm selling 24 CDs a week through my site and my sales on Amazon and CD Baby are up about 25%. I don't feel like I have even tried half the stuff in the book. This guy made a beliver out of me. I'm buying the rest of his books to see what else I can learn from him.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointment, March 5, 2002
By jon (California) - See all my reviews
Usually Sweeny's books are good, however this one touches on stuff that has been covered over and over. I found maybe 2 things that were semi useful.

Needless to say I was completely disappointed.

I wish that once in my life that I could find a Music Business book that covers fresh material.

Sorry Tim but I have to pass on this one.
