About the Director
Paul Hamilton founded Adventure Productions in 1988, specializing in Hang Gliding Point Of View (POV) extreme sport aerial footage. He produces the CLOUDBASE video series, the most comprehensive Hang Gliding & Paragliding series in the world. Fourteen popular programs are currently being sold.
Paul's spectacular high quality stock footage including many international cross country meets, aerobatics competitions, and now speed gliding races to TV Networks and film producers. Some of his clients include: ESPN, NASA, MTV Sports, Muzak ZTV, Range of Light Productions, Sun West Media, RealTV, Medio Multi media, Massachusetts Institute for Educational Broadcasting, Department of Natural Resources.
Paul combines engineering & artistic expertise to specialize in unique solutions to difficult challenges. He is always eager to take on new and unusual assignments.
With his extensive background as a United States Hang Gliding Association (USHGA) Master Rated Hang Glider pilot and Tandem 2 Hang glider pilot, and flying for over 25 years, Paul is expert in cross country and high altitude flight as well as experienced in aerobatics and speed gliding.
As a registered Professional Engineer, with years of experience designing high speed aircraft, Paul has the skills to build camera mounts, incorporate electronics, and assemble complete systems necessary to meet the most demanding filming challenges.
Living with his wife and two dogs, between Lake Tahoe and Reno, Nevada, Paul enjoys Hang gliding, Paragliding, skiing, in-line skating, mountain biking and sailboarding.
