This video is fantastic. And I am not just saying it because I appear in it (well, only for a second). :-) The video chronicles the 1998 DSM (Eagle Talon, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Plymouth Laser) Shootout in Norwalk, OH. This event is a yearly affair that pits DSMs from all over the world against eachother. It is also a fantastic place to meet new friends. The video shows it all, drag racing, autocrossing, interviews, and even commercials from your favorite DSM vendors!

This video focuses on the Annual Diamond Star Shootout held in Norwalk Ohio for the past 6 years. Thus, it does center around Mitsubishi Eclipses, Eagle Talons and Plymouth Lasers. However, there is also excellent coverage of the annual IDRC Import Drag Race in Norwalk (held the day after the DSM SHootout). In the DSM shootout you will see lots of drag racing as well as road racing. You will also learn about the history of the cars and why owners love these cars so much. Rick Santangelo is a first class producer and has even won the coveted "Best Import Racing Video Award" in 1999 for this video. Buy it, you won't regret it.

This is Rick Santangelo, the creator of the DIAMOND STAR SHOOTOUT Video Series. I want to thank you for taking the time to check out this video.

I participated in this race myself before I decided to capture it on video so others could see why this is such an exciting event. So you see, I'm not only the Director, I'm a Racer as well!
