Editorial Reviews

Product Description

Most books about coaching focus on what happens on the court, either during games or in practice. But there’s much more to being a successful coach in high school than mastering Xs and Os — and this book, written by a high school coach who’s had a hand in three California state championship teams, looks at the whole spectrum of high school coaching, from basic offensive and defensive philosophies to dealing with parents and administration. Coaches new to the head-coaching role and also those with plenty of experience will be able to make their jobs easier, and the teams more successful, after reading this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Just plain awful, July 1, 2007
I found the information in this book to be poor and of very little use. Skip it. The Complete Guide to Girls' Basketball by Michael D. Mullaney is far superior.
