Product Description
WESTERN / TEXAS HISTORY / LAW ENFORCEMENT.

Based on the historic Battle of Lost Valley in Texas, the story captures the early Western times with suspense, adventure, and justice. Some no-good outlaws and cattle rustlers set up an ambush to wipe out the Texas Rangers and cowboy Clay Strong.

The leader of the outlaws, Ike McGrath, told his gang he wore a green derby because the green stands for his Irish blood and the red feather in it for his Kiowa blood . . . and no one lives laughing at his hat. That's why it was common to hear him say: "I guess today is killing day around here." And many times, it was.

About the Author
Dick Clason, an avid fan of cowboys and horses since he was twelve years old in the Black Hills of South Dakota, served in the Navy before becoming a Beverly Hills Police Officer in 1956. He completed his law enforcement career as Officer-in-Charge of the Criminalistics Laboratory and a handwriting/fingerprinting consultant.

With his wife Lillian, he moved to Spokane, Washington, closer to where their family lives and where he now does his writing. Zane Gray and Louis L'Amour are among Clason's favorite cowboy reading.

Included with this book are other Clason Westerns titled "The Kid from Custer" and "The Deputy and the Devil's Eye." Into all his cowboy stories, the author weaves history, law, and romance for a good read.
