Hearing The Inner Voice, May 9, 2005
While I've read probably dozens of books on learning to trust our inner voice, or intuition, I've got to say that this is one of the best. The author is very down-to-earth, not tempted by the tendency of many writers in this field to actually "mystify" a reality that each of us recognizes and occassionally even taps into--with or without training. What Gail Harris helps us do is develop tools for recognizing, for example, the difference between a message from our heads and one from our hearts. I also like the short and sweet exercises throughout, highlighted and boxed, called "Delving Deeper." Most of these suggest simple daily practices through which we slowly build our trust in our own inner knowing. This book should be in the collections of anyone who is interested in developing or expanding their intuitive or psychic skills. I really like it!

Uplifitng and Empowering, May 3, 2005
I love this book! It is both uplifiting and empowering. Gail has delved deep into her own heart and life challenges to bring out jewels of guidance and life practices that yield clarity and love for every day life.
This small book is full of simple and useful tools - exercises, affirmations, meditations and practices - that can be done by yourself or in a group. The most important thing is it points us to the truth within, the voice of authenticity that we deeply know but somehow often don't pay attention to. This is so fundamental to simple happiness and fulfillment and Gail talks about it very clearly, using examples from her own experiences.
I particularly appreciated the specific guidelines on how to tell the difference between the true inner voice of my heart and the learned voices (mind) that may seem right, but lead down a dead end road or worse, to another painful life lesson.
"We didn't start out in life not trusting the truth of our hearts," is how Gail begins the first chapter. The rest of the book gently and directly steers us back to that living connection with our own heart wisdom. Written specifically for women, this book can help every woman find the path to her truth, her authenticity, her strength and her deep love for her own self.
The book also has an excellent biblioghraphy, suggested reading list and smattering of wonderful related quotes (from Duke Ellington to Mahatma Gandhi), all wonderful resources to have.

Making the right choices for your life isn't very hard to do, once you know how. The problem is that we don't know how! Finally, this great book has come our way giving us just the right guidance on how we can get out of the negative "voices in our head" and start learning how to really listen to the "voices in our heart." The messages that we receive from our heart are the most positive and unconditionally loving voices. These voices are connected to our Higher Self that wants only the best for us. Our Higher Self wants us to be happy, healthy, prosperous, and always feel that we are unconditionally loved. Once you are truly "in-tuned" with your Higher Self and you learn to really listen, your life will miraculously change for the better!
Learning how to tell the difference between the "voices in our head" and the "voices in our heart" can easily be determined by how you "feel." Are you happy? Are you joyful? Do you feel unconditionally loved? Or...Are you always putting yourself down and feeling unworthy as well as unlucky in many areas of your life?
What do you truly desire? That is the big question! If you want and choose to have a great life, filled with abundance, joy, prosperity, and unconditional love...you CAN have it! All you have to do is learn to listen to the positive voices of your heart and stop giving in to the negative voices in your head.
Gail Harris is a marvelous author and I couldn't put this book down since opening the first page. She gives us so many examples of what happens when we do listen to the voices in our heads as well as showing us how our lives DO improve by listening to the voices in our heart. I noticed an improved change in my own life by the time I got to the second chapter. By the time that I had read through the whole book, my outlook and practice of listening to the voices of my heart has made a huge positive change for me.
If you have been suffering with anxiety, stress, or just feeling overwhelmed with life (and who doesn't) I promise you that if you read this enjoyable book and do some of the personal ceremonies and practices that she recommends, you too will be feeling so much better. You will learn how to change your stress filled days into minutes, and hours, filled with more positive control and peace than you have ever had before!
Don't allow your EGO (the negative voices in your head) to have control over your life any longer! You will feel so good about yourself by the time you finish reading this book that it's like you've turned from a caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly!
Every woman on the face of this Earth, of every age, should have a copy of this great book! Thank you so much Gail Harris for helping us all understand what beautiful women we are and showing us the techniques that allow our true souls to shine through! You are such an inspiration!
