Review
"This novel is first and foremost a love story packed with plenty of sexual heat... [D]ifficult to put down." -- Lesbian Worlds Reveiew http://www.lesbianworlds.com/books/glory.htm

Product Description
When Leigh Matthews finds herself lost due to an unexpected detour in her normal trucking route, she ends up in the middle of nowhere. As soon as she lays eyes on RJ Fitzgerald, however, a beautiful and intriguing handyman for a lonely country diner, she realizes that nowhere can be a very interesting place.

'The Road to Glory' is a story of two women, their bumpy road from lust to love, and the multitude of surprising turns along the way.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good read with an unusual twist..., October 2, 2002
Written by the same two authors who brought us the best-selling Madam President, The Road to Glory is wildly different and gives us a feel for the multi-faceted talents Cooper and Novan exhibit both separately and as collaborators.

It begins like a standard girl-meets-girl story. But from clues cleverly inserted by the authors, the reader soon becomes aware that this tale is anything but standard. Feisty trucker Leigh Matthews and old-fashioned, but ready-for-adventure RJ Fitzgerald meet when a strange detour takes the trucker off her regular route. The women discover an instant physical attraction that both are anxious to fulfill. As the story progresses, so does their infatuation with each other, until it surprises them by building into a true love that neither is quite ready to accept or trust.

The strange reactions of RJ's family and friends to the pairing creates a puzzling background that keeps the reader guessing as to its cause. In the meantime, odd tidbits of information are tossed into the mix, stirring up doubts about whether the two will ever be able to get together permanently--and why not?

Searching for these answers keeps the reader eagerly turning pages. The authors have produced an entertaining, sometimes "tongue-in-cheek" story with a delightfully original theme and tied it all together with a comic counterpoint of squirrelly antics. Be ready for a good read with an unusual twist, interspersed with some hearty laughs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Leave out the Squirrels, October 27, 2002
By A Customer
After reading "Madam President," I had very high hopes for this book. While there were humorous parts, and a few touching parts, this book was not up to what I was expecting. It is very slow at times and is hard to understand until you realized the truth about Glory.
And the squirrels served no purpose and could have easily been left out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love these two, April 11, 2003
By Jean Murphy (Hamilton, OH United States) - See all my reviews
As usual Blayne and T. have written a fasinating book. I have read The Road To Glory as well as the others these two have penned together. They are both funny, I mean LOL funny, great plots, and hold your interest. I'm hooked. I will certainly be reading what they write. If you are a avid reader such as myself. Then you need to pick up these authors books. Trust me, you will enjoy.
