Narrating the story portrayed by the background music, her performance, although intended for children, is that of an adult performing for adults. There are no exaggerated intonations or characterizations. What we hear is what one would expect from Hepburn: a dignified performance that is dainty with precise enunciation and fitting inflections. My daughter checked this out from the library, and we were very surprised at how excellent it is. She is loves to listen to it. Hepburn's voice is perfect, and the music compliments to story nicely. Overall, it is one of the best stories on CD we have heard.

A well-made audio story like this CD and those from Jim Weiss encourage children to use their imaginations and to read. They are very entertaining - and better for children than most of the commercial childrens entertainment products on the market.

My mother brought this tape for my niece when she was small. She loved it and asked to listen everything she was a gramma's. Now I use it for when my little one can't sleep- it works like a charm. The music is wonderful and Ms. Hepburn's voice is soothing yet entertaining. I wish there where more of these!

My Godmother bought this for me when I was a child. Now, as an adult (I am now 23) I still use it for my sleepless nights. It has never lost it's charm or it's effect, and I don't know what I would do without it. Definitely a keep forever!
