Product Description
This book was co-written by a college student and an educational consultant for middle school through college age youth. The goal was to present practical, research-based, study and test-taking strategies to teenagers from the perspective of a fellow teenager. Currently, there is no book or guide on the market that actually teaches adolescents "how" to learn and study using multiple intelligences, learning style and brain based strategies.
About the Author
Shivahn Fitzell is a first-time published author and illustrator. Currently attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute, she is pursuing a mechanical engineering degree, with a minor in Spanish. She has worked for AIMHI Educational Programs since 2001 on a variety of projects, including experimenting with study and writing techniques, book editing, and creating a mood chart (soon to be published!). Susan Fitzell is also the author of "Free the Children: Conflict Education for Strong, Peaceful Minds", a book that offers a unique approach to helping ourselves and our children break free from negative cultural and media conditioning that creates aggression and conflict, and "Special Needs in the General Classroom: Strategies That Make it Work" a practical handbook for special education and general classroom teachers. Susan is in demand as a presenter at district, state, and national conferences as a keynote speaker, trainer, and educational consultant specializing in conflict resolution, bullying, anger management, and special education inclusion.
